Linda Hollinger: Chasing Light, Shaping the Human Form

Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Linda Hollinger brings over 30 years of experience behind the camera—yet speaks about her work as if she’s just beginning. And maybe that’s what makes it feel so alive.

Her work lives at the intersection of strength and vulnerability, often placing the human form within vast, open landscapes—where light becomes both subject and storyteller. Influenced by the quiet drama of 17th-century Dutch painters, Linda doesn’t just capture images… she chases light, letting it shape the emotion, the movement, and the meaning within each frame.

Originally trained in design and illustration, she traded paintbrushes for film—but never lost that painter’s eye. You can feel it in the way her work unfolds: intentional, expressive, and deeply human.

“I love freezing special moments in time—finding the magic and poetry that exists in everyday life.”

For Linda, connection is everything. Before the shutter clicks, there’s conversation. There are sketches. There’s trust being built—so that when the moment comes, her subjects feel not just seen, but safe.

Even after decades of creating, she’s still reaching deeper. Still exploring. Still evolving.

“I feel that my journey has just begun.”
